Thai Drinks You Can Enjoy During Summer
Whenever the sunny season comes along, you always find yourself looking for something cool to quench your thirst. Instead of just water, why not satisfy your palate by enjoying chilled and sweetened beverages. If you have a penchant for exotic flavours, then you should try some of the popular concoctions from Thailand. Most of the refreshments are combined with citrus fruits, which add just the right sugary flavour to liven up the summer. Here are some of the popular drinks to quench your thirst:
- Iced Watermelon Drink
- Lemon Soda
- Citrus Banana Punch
- Mango Syrup
- Hales Blue Boy Ice Cone
This is just one of the many fruit-based beverages you can enjoy during the sunny season. Crush 500 grams of ice in a blender and later a few slices of Sindria (sweet red watermelon). If you want this drink a littler creamier, you can add some cream or milk.
Don't you ever get tired of the artificial variants? If so, make one for yourself. Add in three slices of lemon, sugar, and ice cubes in soda water. If you want, you can even include some extra pulps to create a tangy kick
Considered as one of the fruitiest and sweetest in the country, this drink effortlessly combines the zesty goodness of orange and sweetness of banana. You may not even have to add in some sugar. This is best served cold so make sure to add in a generous amount of crushed ice.
This is one of the simplest beverages to make. In a blender, add 250 grams of mango slices, lemon juice, caramelized sugar, and some water. If you want to retain some of the chunks, you do not have to finely blend the drink. Serve with ice cubes and garnish with basil leaf.
If you have any kids, then this is one treat they will surely enjoy. With a glass of crushed ice, add in two to four tablespoons of condensed milk and Hales Blue Boy drink syrup. Leave in the freezer for a few minutes so that the ice takes the shape of the glass.
If you cannot visit the country, then you can at least imagine yourself being there over the summer by indulging in these refreshing drinks. If you want to learn more about the culture and cuisine of Thailand, feel free to read the articles featured on the blog.
